Hi,

The divisions are what makes it worth discussing, no? We're touching on it at the NCUC policy conference Friday and will have hopefully gotten a fuller sense of how CS folks see it, so why not extend the discussion with the board as well? It's on the agenda for Baku, too…

As to other options, in addition to any other GNSO-specific questions we might burn to discuss: at previous meetings we've asked them to discuss outreach, relations with developing country governments and their favored IGOs (e.g. ITU), the Global Relationships Committee, etc. With mixed success, as some boardies were into it while others seemed not to get what the issue was or care, predictable topography here. But now things have moved on and we have this dynamic where projects are being put in place but arguably on a more staff than community driven basis. We could devote one on question cluster/time chunk to this. I still think the GRC should have a community participation component, that there should be more open and useful dialogue and reporting on strategic relations (hello, WCIT), that outreach should allow more bottom up and SG-specific elements (particularly with respect to civil society), etc.

Best,

Bill
