Dear everyone,

The nomination period has now closed for nominations to the 2014 NCSG
Annual Election next month.  There are 4 NCSG GNSO Council Representative
seats up for election (3 seats 2-years term, 1 seat 1 year term) and 5
candidates have been nominated and accepted their nominations.  The NCSG
Chair seat is up for election  (1 year term) and 1 person was nominated and
accepted the nomination.

According the NCSG Charter, all candidates are required to make a *Public
Statement *that includes:
    * Name, declared region of residence, gender and employment;
    * Any conflicts of interest;
    * Reasons for willingness to take on the tasks of the particular
position;
    * Qualifications for the position; and
    * Statement of availability for the time the position requires.
    * The nominee’s statement may also include any other information that
the candidate believes is relevant.

Candidates have until *26 August 2014 *to make their public statement to
the NCSG email list.  Candidate Public Statements will be posted to the
NCSG Elections page:

  Oct. 15 : Term Begins
