Dear All,

As your representative on CCWG on IG I am sending you my usual periodic
report and I am sorry it is a bit late.

1. The progress report of the CCWG-IG is out. Attached to this email. It's
a good source if you want to see what sort of activities this ccwg-IG do
and if you want to participate.

2. We worked on the CCWG-IG charter and updated it. Thank you Tatiana,
Matt, and Rafik. It will be sent to GNSO.

3. There will be a meeting in Copenhagen http://sched.co/9oMz
<http://sched.co/9oMz> . I was not involved with arranging the meeting to
the similar extent than the last meeting and I can see on agenda number 2
everyone put in whatever was remotely relevant to IG on the list. Another
laundry list of IG processes that their relation to ccwg-ig is unclear! I
have asked for clarification I will update you on that. In arranging the
previous meeting we managed to limit the laundry list to what is important
for ICANN and make a clear relation between the topics and processes and
ICANN mission. I hope we can do this again this time.

Here is the agenda of the ccwg-IG meeting in Copenhagen

1. Briefly review main outcomes on IG front during 2016 (e.g. Where these
have implications for ICANN Mission and our work as CCWG); would include
lessons learned from IGF 2016; and views that ICANN should take forward
into MAG / Open Consultation discussions;
2. Look ahead to main issues during 2017; touching perhaps on Enhanced
Cooperation (Working Group of CSTD); the WSIS Forum 2017; the ITU Expert
Group work on ITRs and preparations for ITU WTDC (World Telecommunications
Development Conference); G20 / OECD work on Internet, High Level Political
Forum (HLPF); UN GGE, and the launch of Global Commission on the Stability
of Cyberspace (GCSC);
3. Discussion on Internet Governance priorities for CCWG / ICANN taking
account of new global political agenda (for example with respect to rise of
cyber-sovreignty and Internet nationalism).
