I don't mind having a dialog and exchange of opinions and I never take it
personal or get offended or intend to be offensive.

But I agree with you, we can keep talking ad nauseam about this and we will
still be far from achieve anything actionable.

There are some interesting discussions and ideas at IETF to make Internet
more "secure," more "private," but I continue to think that the issue of
the NSA surveillance is out of the scope and role of ICANN and NCSG/NCUC as
a constituency of ICANN and just an issue being used and abused to score
political points, and gain popularity.

We still have to work as individuals and as an organization to ensure that
we recover the notion of trust and make sure that the oversight mechanisms
work as expected.
